Despite me only listening to her music a few months ago, she already climbed to be one of my favourite idols in both the Canyon Records catalogue and in general! She's now celebrating her 40th anniversary debut as a singer. She made quite an impact when she debuted in 1982, at the age of 14! She peaked from around 1983 to 1985 then she eventually became burnt-out and retired for a bit in 1987, returning a few years later. She battled cancer in 2019 which caused her to remove more than half of her tongue. She recovered well and is learning to sing again with his predicament, releasing karaoke renditions as practice in her YouTube channel. She recently released a box-set (where a lot of this stuff came from), finally released her main material in distribution sites, and is having a live concert soon!
